Ocean County YMCA to host 26th Annual Toms River Art & Decoy Festival
Location: Central Regional High School, 509 Forest Hills Parkway, Bayville, NJ.
Dates: January 23, 2010 - 10am - 4pm January 24, 2010 - 10am - 4pm
Donation: $5 - Kids and under - free
Exhibits: Over 100 exhibitors showing Wildfowl Carvings, Decoys, Songbirds, Antique Decoys, Carving Suppliers, Fish Carvings and Sculptures, Books, Wildlife Artwork, Prints and Photography, Life-size and Miniature Artwork, Maritime Artwork, Original Watercolors, Museum and Evironmental Exhibits.
Free Seminars: From the East Coasts top experts on various topics. During show hours, a diverse selection of carvers and artists will be demonstrating their techniques.
Carving Competition: All judging takes place on the compitition floor in full view of the public. Come and witness the fun and excitement of the choosing of winners right before your eyes.
New Jersey State Championship Compitition: 2010 bird is the Grebe.
Family Paint a Decoy: (Ages 5 and up, please) A great opportunity for all to feel like an artist for a day. Surrounded by our talented artist and carver exhibits and assisted by our creative volunteers, each participant will hand paint their very own decoy to take home and proudly display.
Proceeds: All proceeds benifit the Ocean County YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign which allows struggling families and those in crisis to paticipate in it's health and wellness programs.
